Fort Carson Battalion Headquarters

This design-build project consists of a new Battalion Headquarters building with office space and classrooms. The entire complex includes 87,000 SF of vertical construction and features the 62,500 SF Battalion Headquarters building. The headquarters contain both open and private workstations, multiple conference rooms, and a flexible classroom arrangement with integrated multi-media and communications at learning stations capable of seating up to 250 users.

Site construction consisted of a high-security perimeter surrounding parking areas for military vehicles. These enclosed lots also contain an extensive amount of communications cabling and power to serve the mission functions of the users. Specialized site features include a 300-kW photovoltaic array of canopies covering 50% of the parking lot, sustainable landscaping, and high-efficiency LED site lighting. This project was designed and constructed to be highly optimized for energy. The Fort Carson Headquarters was awarded LEED Gold Certification.
