Experience Comes Full Circle at OKC Hospital

Mercy Hospital_OKCIn 1973, Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City was opened to patients. Over time, this hospital has grown to become a significant medical facility to the people of OKC and surrounding communities. Mercy Hospital OKC now offers major services including a birth center, Coletta Cancer Center, Mercy Breast Center, and Meinders NeuroScience Institute as well as many other additional services. This hospital served over 330,000 outpatient visits in 2023. In all, the Mercy Healthcare group is the sixth largest Catholic Healthcare System in the US.

With the longstanding relationship established from the many projects performed to date, PEC was asked to provide an on-site Engineering Owner’s Representative to help the Facility Maintenance Office (FMO) prioritize the multitude of existing and new maintenance projects needing attention throughout the campus.

PEC was able to offer Mark Brim from the Construction Management team to serve as the Owner’s Representative. Ironically, Brim had worked with Mercy for five years in their design and construction department. Mark has proven to be incredibly beneficial for Mercy as he has been able to hit the ground running and provide relief to the Director of the Facility Maintenance Office. Additionally, with Mark’s on-site presence, several pending project proposals have been signed. New projects have also been created including a sizable project for our newly formed survey group in the Oklahoma City office. This constant presence provides opportunities to the different divisions of PEC to their lend expertise.

When in time of medical crisis, every community demands a hospital that is fully functioning. Mark’s involvement in the upkeep of Mercy Hospital OKC allows for a happier, healthier, and vibrant community.
