PEC announces the addition of Burt Morey, PE to the firm. He was most recently the Deputy Secretary and State Transportation Engineer at the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT). Burt brings more than 31 years of experience and relationships in the transportation industry — primarily with local and state transportation professionals in Kansas. He has experience with state Department of Transportation (DOT) chief engineers in the Mid-America Association of State Transportation Officials (MAASTO) region, as well as relationships with many municipalities and consulting firms in the Kansas City area, and the construction industry in Kansas. This allows Burt to deliver PEC’s purpose to clients and ensure their satisfaction.

Burt received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University. He is Past-President of the Kansas Chapter American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is currently affiliated with the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE). As Senior Vice President of Transportation Markets, Burt implements PEC’s strategic plan for transportation markets and is responsible for client service, business development, sales, and project delivery.
