A two-part bond issue brought improvements and new opportunities to USD 266 and one of those opportunities was the Maize Performing Arts & Aquatic Center. The auditorium/natatorium brings the unique opportunity for students, athletes, and families of USD 266 to gather and meet the needs of the fast-growing community.

The mixed-use facility consists of a 2-story lobby entry that leads into a 1,200-seat auditorium and the competition-style natatorium. The auditorium features a balcony that allows for district fine arts performances such as orchestra, band, vocal concerts, and theatrical performances. The natatorium features an 8-lane pool with a dive well and zero entry accommodations. The facility also includes approximately 300 seats for spectators, a locker room, and office spaces located above. PEC was responsible for the electrical design and materials testing for this project.

This multiuse facility acts as a hub for everyone to enjoy a myriad of sports, activities, arts performances, and productions. Maize USD 266 now has a state-of-the-art facility to welcome students and their families.
