As with any project, the design and planning of the K-96 and Greenwich Road east 1/2 folder diamond interchange on a 4-lane freeway were critical for smooth construction. Clear communication between PEC, City of Wichita staff, and the individual utility companies was paramount. When undertaking road widening and ramp additions, many underlying utility issues must be considered. PEC’s entire team worked one-on-one to assure all utility needs were met during the design process and major delays were eliminated during construction.
