North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC) is known for their state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, cutting-edge technology, and humble service to Weld County in northern Colorado and the surrounding region. When the opportunity arose to renovate part of Banner Health’s Greeley hospital, NCMC set out to create a best-in-class operating suite available for minimally invasive heart procedures as an alternative approach to valve replacement. This renovation ensures their patients will receive the highest-level care possible.

PEC conducted extensive site investigations and used 3D scanning and modeling to find the best solutions for expanding the medical center’s electrical distribution system, fit the new equipment in compact ceiling spaces, and integrate new systems into the hospital’s current ones. Working with 3D scanning allowed the engineers to precisely locate existing utilities to aid in designing the new services and structural supports needed.

Due to NCMC’s forward thinking and heart for their patients, the hospital’s cardiovascular staff can now treat a broader range of heart defects. Now, patients in Greeley, CO and the surrounding areas are able to receive the care they need with less pain and a shorter
recovery time.
