Wichita State University Woodman Center Remodel
The Woodman Center at Wichita State University (WSU) is home to WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement (WSUFAE). With a growing university, an updated space was needed for these groups to continue their work of moving WSU forward.
The main floor of the existing facility was renovated to update the aging space. The intent of the renovation was to create a more modern, inviting, and hospitable space for both occupants and visitors. PEC designed systems to support additional private/open office spaces, a break room, and collaboration areas. Notably, a new fire sprinkler system was installed which improves safety in the building.
With the various events and meetings these integral groups lead and host, WSU now offers a new and aesthetically pleasing environment to welcome its guests and alumni. Remodeling the building to provide an enjoyable working environment for university staff resulted in positive interactions with university alumni and students which benefits the community.
