Voice of the Martyrs

Project Profile

Bartlesville, OK

Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a growing non-profit organization that helps provide physical and financial resources to missionaries all around the world.

This 2-story expansion project significantly increased the number of offices and meeting rooms to more than forty office spaces, several new workspaces, and huddle rooms for their administration team. Along with the offices, a new entryway with a large open space, additional restrooms, and a kitchen area was also added.

PEC provided electrical, mechanical, and structural services, and worked closely with the client to ensure products and systems were used that benefited the organization. While the mechanical design had to be constructed to match the systems of the existing building, the electrical design was made in anticipation of future additions to the campus. This included updating the fire alarm system to have voice evacuation and redesigning their utility service for two possible future expansions.

The structural design was put in place so as not to interrupt the current floor plans. Additionally, the main entrance was intended to have significant natural lighting and exposed wood roof members. Due to the long spans of the roof members, PEC utilized steel roof joists for the structures but wrapped them in wood to keep with the aesthetic.

With its worldwide reach, VOM is growing every day. This new facility helped the local community by providing more job opportunities to citizens in Bartlesville and beyond. The new VOM expansion will also facilitate its mission to bring resources to those in need in the world.
