Foley Equipment Return to Rental Building

Project Profile

Kansas City

Foley Equipment, a leading provider of construction equipment and solutions, needed to increase its footprint to keep up with business demands. With equipment rental accounting for a large portion of their business, Foley needed a new Return To Rental (RTR) building to clean, evaluate, and maintain the equipment.

PEC has a long history of success with Foley Equipment and has a working knowledge of their vision for this addition. Structurally, the scope included the design of a robust building with added square footage to allow larger vehicles to move not only within but also around the building. Regarding mechanical and electrical infrastructure, the design was such that it allowed for proper heating and cooling of the regularly occupied spaces as well as proper ventilation during vehicle maintenance operations. Additionally, lighting was designed to provide the end user with high ambient levels of illumination, which will aid in the maintenance processes. In total, the building features three vehicle wash bays, a mud pit and filtration system, a new fuel island, and office space.

Along with the Architect, PEC also collaborated with a civil engineer to maximize site distribution and site traffic flow for future additions. The new Foley RTR building will enhance workflow, enable them to better serve their clients, and continue to grow their business.
