YES Crisis Center

Project Profile

Tulsa, OK

Communities are facing a mental health crisis across the nation. Youth Evaluation Services (YES) Tulsa provides youth ages 5 to 17 years old a haven to seek help and to have stabilization in a time that is crucial to developing a treatment response. In May 2024, the new and expanded facility for YES Tulsa was opened.

PEC teamed up with GH2 and DC Bass Constructions for this project. The existing facility was semi-gutted and new spaces were created within the current building. The existing infrastructure was utilized where possible and an emergency power system was designed. New translucent panels that glow was added to the architectural entry feature as well. This facility expansion allows for critical services to be offered such as mental health screenings, prescription medication services, crisis intervention, clinical diagnosis, and continued care.

With mental health struggles affecting so many in our communities, facilities such as the YES Crisis Center are incredibly beneficial and vital in moments of crisis. Low-cost mental or behavioral health emergencies are now able to be treated outside of the emergency room at this dedicated 24/7 facility for young people experiencing urgent mental health or behavioral issues.
