Larimer County Fleet Campus

Project Profile

Loveland, CO

The Larimer County Fleet Services provides vital services to the community. Everything from snowplows to sheriff vehicles to trucks for road and bridge repair are based and maintained at their facility. Until this year, their building had been on an undersized, eight-acre parcel. The facilities were old, landlocked, and outdated. The vehicle maintenance bays were located on the main level and administrative offices upstairs which were unproperly ventilated and forced administrative functions to move off-site. In November 2024, the new Larimer County Fleet Campus opened its doors.

Located in Loveland, Colorado, the new building is a partially pre-engineered metal and partially conventional building which includes 22 bays of vehicle maintenance, a wash bay, 3 mezzanines for storage, a fuel island, and a 2-story office space in the center of the building. The second-floor balconies on either side of the office building were thermally isolated from the rest of the building to improve operational performance. Important upgrades from the previous location are paved parking for employees, a loading dock, trench drains, and stormwater management. A key feature to the facility is an onsite decant for trucks to empty slurry when needed.

With an upgraded facility three times the size of their former site and building, Larimer County employees get to work in a better and healthier environment. In turn, it will help them serve the county more efficiently and quickly as the needs arise.
