Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Dolese Bros. produces and supplies construction materials including ready-mixed concrete, crushed stone, and hardscapes. After 100 years in the same location and having outgrown three separate buildings, the company wanted to bring all its support groups under one roof. Dolese also wanted to showcase its products while prioritizing the health and comfort of the occupants. PEC collaborated with Butzer Architects & Urbanism to design this WELL-certified structure. The facility features all 10 “WELL” concepts and was the first building in Oklahoma City to become certified.

An open floor plan with natural lighting was a top design priority and incorporated an exposed concrete structure, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems. Since most areas are exposed, all systems had to be carefully coordinated. At the center of the structure is a 3-story, command center featuring a massive video wall tracking more than 500 trucks per day and allowing staff to view maps and weather reports ensuring driver safety. This self-contained atrium was created from a variety of stones quarried by Dolese Bros.

The new headquarters promotes operational efficiency and accommodates the continued growth of the company. Additionally, Dolese is now able to better serve its customers, communities, and employees well into the future.
