Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Lab

Project Profile

Oklahoma City, OK

The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) laboratory build-out completed the final phase of interior construction within the OMRF Tower in Oklahoma City, OK. The project involved finishing renovation of the third and fifth floors to expand the tower’s research capabilities and activate the remaining interior space within the facility. With the completion of this work, OMRF now utilizes all 11 floors of its tower.

Each floor comprises approximately 23,200 SF, totaling 46,400 SF for the entire project. The newly developed areas feature laboratory spaces, meeting rooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, and shared support spaces designed to accommodate daily research operations and collaboration.

Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) provided electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering services for the project. The design focused on extending existing building systems to serve the new laboratory spaces while maintaining continuity with the currently in-use portions of the building. This approach allowed the project team to efficiently expand the building’s function without disrupting ongoing operations.

The completed build-out supports OMRF’s mission of delivering a flexible, fully integrated laboratory within an existing structure, maximizing the value and usability of the tower.
