City of Bel Aire Public Works Facility
Home to more than 10,000 residents, the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, had outgrown its current public works facility and needed a new space designed to support the needs of the community. To help guide the effort, the City partnered with Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) to utilize owners representation services throughout the project.
The project includes an 8.34-acre development featuring a multi-use building that brings together administrative offices, vehicle maintenance areas, and equipment storage in one place. This consolidated approach supports smoother operations while giving City staff the tools and space needed to maintain streets, utilities, and public spaces that residents rely on every day. Site improvements such as soft and hardscape features, security features, and supporting utility infrastructure were incorporated to create a functional, well-organized campus.
Serving as the City’s advocate, PEC worked closely with Bel Aire officials to coordinate planning efforts, manage communication, and keep the project aligned with community priorities. The result is a facility that strengthens municipal services, supports City staff, and contributes to a safer, well-maintained community for years to come.
