Leaders Made Here

Congratulations to Steve Vo, electrical division manager, who was awarded the Architectural Engineering 2022 MAE Industry Mentor Award at the Durham School’s 17th Annual Architectural Engineering Awards & Recognition Banquet on March 3rd.

This award recognizes a distinguished mentor to the students participating in the AEI competition at the University of Nebraska. Nominees are submitted by the students in the program and are then selected by project teams associated with this project at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

The PEC team was chosen to be the first-ever volunteers allowed to mentor remotely, which speaks to the level of impact Steve had on the students he mentored.

“This award shows Steve’s dedication to leading the way and leading the next generation of great engineers,” said Kelby Ewert, who attended the event with Vo.

Steve is pictured here with Andrew Crist (L), and Isabel Anderson (R), both current MAE students and interns at PEC. Both will start full-time with PEC upon graduation.
