PEC expands company wellness program

PEC Workout Room(edit)

Professional Engineering Consultants’ (PEC) commitment to healthy communities starts with our employees. After six years of offering YMCA coaching and a heath/wellness incentive program, PEC is taking it to the next level with a full service fitness facility.

This week PEC will host the grand opening of Suite 300, a fun and fitness center for their employees, at 300 S Topeka in the former Chilton’s building. During the private event PEC will also host a health fair for its employees, with gym equipment demonstrations, healthy cooking demos and health insurance representatives.

“The creation of Suite 300 allows our valuable staff a very convenient opportunity to focus on their wellness and improve their quality of life. Being located 4 blocks from PEC Field Services and across the street from our corporate office – Suite 300 is a 24/7 facility with state of the art equipment and lockers to enhance the wellness of our staff and PEC for many years to come,” Rod Young, PEC President/CEO, said.

PEC employees and their families have access to weight training and cardio equipment, along with ping pong and pool tables. For pictures of the facility, visit PEC Flickr page.

Our commitment to wellness in the Wichita community is also highlighted by our premier plus sponsorship of Tour de Cure. The bicycle ride and run is hosted by the American Diabetes Association on April 29 at Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita. Earlier this year team PEC’s 70 riders biked, walked and ran across South Wichita to raise money and awareness for the 29 million who struggle with diabetes daily.

These efforts by PEC confirm our commitment to a healthy lifestyle for everyone in the communities we serve. For more information about PEC, and to apply for one of our 12 open positions, visit the Careers page.
