Professional Engineering Consultants, P. A. established in 1965 (founding Company in 1946) was created by the merger of three engineering design firms. These Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical firms combined to form a Professional Association. Within months, this association grew to include a Civil Engineering Department and a Materials Testing Laboratory.

In 1965, PEC employed 30 people. Today PEC employs more than 250 in one of the largest multi-discipline engineering firms headquartered in Kansas. PEC’s corporate headquarters is located in Wichita with offices in Topeka, Tulsa, Lawrence and Pittsburg. Though situated in Kansas, PEC holds Professional Engineering Licenses in the states shown in the map below.
One of the unique strengths of PEC is the active participation of our principals in the preparation of reports, studies, plans, specifications and in the management of design projects. In each of the major disciplines, a principal of the firm spends at least half their time producing engineering documents.
